After 20 months of debate and more than 33000 votes, finally, Wellington city would be informal name for Wellywood. Original concept - a conflation of Wellington and Hollywood - is a reference to the film production business established in the city by The Lord of the Rings film director Sir Peter Jackson. Really! I just realised when NZ become a film industry country?
Before transform to Wellywood, All Blacks team won the RWC in 2011, so I only seen "ALL BLACKS" sign at that time.
